 1 - Open with a story: There’s no better way to captivate, engage and differentiate yourself from the competition than storytelling

2 - Speak from the heart: Never memorize a script.  Authenticity rules when building trust. Ditch the script because your prospect doesn't care about perfection. They just want connection.

3 - Lead with value: Stop wasting precious time talking about your accolades, credits, and accomplishments. What’s in it for them? In an effective sales process, value is delivered to your prospect during every interaction.

4 -  Use dramatic pause: Whether you want to be a better listener during discovery, build a bit of suspense during a presentation or gain valuable feedback after delivering an investment estimate, there’s a ton of power in uncomfortable silence.

5 - Know when to improvise: When things don’t go as planned, sometimes you need to stick to your guns and control the presentation. More often than not though, you need to read the room and go with the flow because ditching your agenda and going off script can lead to magic.
